today. I arrived at 8:30am and left at 8:30pm. I've done with the
LDAP, Eclipse, JDK, Tomcat and other stuffs.
The LDAP configuration took me really a long time... However, it is
actually a matter of several packages and .conf files. And I found
that "sudo" command in Ubuntu acts differently from in openSUSE while
logging in as a account from the LDAP server. Ubuntu just doesn't
allow you to perform the action with your own password. I have to use
"su -" to do the same thing (or "su ubuntu-username" to use normal
"sudo command", while the "ubuntu-username" is the account you log in
Ubuntu at the very starting). Maybe still there's problems with my
LDAP configuration...
Using my new Ubuntu, I was pretty happy before I left the office. It
runs rather stably and I'm familiar with it.
I'm going to go shopping with my friends tomorrow. Maybe I should go
to the office to configure the other softwares if I have time, for
starting working at once next Monday.
